The Stiletto STSQ4 is a 4-1/2 in. Trim Square designed for precision and efficiency in finish carpentry work. Fully machined from aluminum with a hard coat anodized anti-glare finish, the STSQ4 is built to maintain accuracy and protect the laser-etched markings through years of jobsite use. The anodized hard coat is the most durable coating available for aluminum layout tools — it resists wear from repeated contact with wood surfaces and tool pouches that would eventually degrade the markings on lesser-finished squares. Highly visible laser-etched graduations remain clear and readable even in low-light finish carpentry conditions.
The STSQ4 packs a comprehensive set of layout features into a compact 4-1/2 in. form factor. Built-in 1/4 in. and 3/16 in. reveal gauges enable fast, consistent door casing setback layout without measuring — two of the most common reveal dimensions used in finish carpentry. Scribe holes every 1/8 in. allow the square to be used as a scribing guide for laying out rip lines and setting saw blade height accurately. Center cutouts provide common angles at 67.5, 45, 30, and 22.5 degrees for quick angle layout, and the cutouts also serve as guides for laying out longer rip lines at 1/4 in., 1/2 in., 3/4 in., 1-1/2 in., and 1-3/4 in. widths. The fully ruled bottom heel with 1/2 in. heel height and offset heel at 3/8 in. and 1/4 in. widths adds marking versatility for scribing and layout tasks where the standard blade reference is not practical.
