The Milwaukee 49-94-9025 is a 9 in. x 1/4 in. x 5/8-11 in. Type 27 Grinding Wheel — a large-format heavy-duty depressed-center grinding wheel for use with 9 in. angle grinders for the highest production material removal rates available in portable grinder format. The 9 in. diameter provides the maximum standard abrasive wheel coverage area per grinding pass, covering more surface area per stroke than any smaller-diameter grinder wheel for the fastest completion of large-area surface preparation tasks on structural steel plates, weldments, and heavy fabricated assemblies. The 1/4 in. heavy-duty thickness provides the abrasive mass for the longest service life in the heavy grinding applications that 9 in. grinders are used for — aggressive weld bead removal, large bevel grinding, heavy mill scale removal, and sustained high-material-removal grinding that production fabrication and heavy maintenance require.
Aluminum oxide abrasive is the standard specification for ferrous metal grinding. The Type 27 depressed-center profile positions the grinding face below the mounting hub for flat-surface grinding at the productive low approach angle. The 5/8-11 threaded arbor bore fits standard 9 in. angle grinder spindles directly.
