The Milwaukee 49-94-6300 is a 6 in. x .045 in. x 7/8 in. Type 1 Cut-Off Wheel for use with 6 in. angle grinders — a thin-profile flat abrasive cutting wheel for fast, precise cut-off operations on steel, stainless steel, and ferrous metal in the large 6 in. grinder format. The 6 in. diameter provides more cutting depth per pass than 4-1/2 in. and 5 in. wheels — reaching larger pipe diameters, heavier structural sections, and material cross-sections that the smaller grinder formats cannot fully cut in a single pass from one side. The .045 in. ultra-thin wheel body produces a narrow kerf for minimum material removal, lower friction during the cut, and faster cutting speed compared to thicker abrasive cut-off wheels at the same diameter. The Type 1 flat profile is the standard cut-off wheel configuration for perpendicular cut-off operations from above or the side.
Aluminum oxide abrasive provides the cutting aggressiveness for ferrous metal applications — conduit, pipe, angle iron, threaded rod, channel, and structural steel cutting across the heavy commercial and industrial applications where the 6 in. grinder platform provides the cutting depth and power for productive work on larger structural metal.
