Product Description
Milwaukee 4 in. Masonry Cut-Off Wheel - Type 1 (25 Pack)
Model Number: 49-94-1900
The Milwaukee 49-94-1900 is a 4 in. x 1/8 in. x 5/8 in. Masonry Cut-Off Wheel, Type 1, sold in a 25-pack. This is a masonry cutting wheel, not a metal wheel: it uses a silicon carbide abrasive grain formulated for cutting concrete and masonry, where the metal cut-off wheels use aluminum oxide or ceramic grain for steel. It is designed for long life and fast cuts in brick, block, stone, mortar, concrete, and other masonry materials. The Type 1 flat geometry is built for straight cutting and cut-off work, the 1/8 in. thickness gives the wheel the body it needs for masonry cutting, and the 5/8 in. arbor fits the smaller 4 in. angle grinders that use a 5/8 in. spindle rather than the 7/8 in. arbor found on larger wheels.
These wheels are reinforced with two full sheets of fiberglass for strength and durability under load, and the silicon carbide grain delivers durable performance and smooth, controlled cutting through abrasive masonry materials. With a 4 in. diameter, the wheel mounts on 4 in. angle grinders for compact, close-quarters masonry cutting such as scoring block, cutting brick and pavers, and clearing mortar joints. Buying in a 25-pack keeps a working supply on hand for high-volume masonry and construction work, where abrasive materials wear wheels faster than metal cutting does.
When ordering, match the wheel to the material and the tool. This is a masonry wheel for concrete and masonry only; do not use it to cut metal, and do not use a metal cut-off wheel to cut masonry, since the abrasive and bond are formulated for different materials. Cutting masonry generates respirable crystalline silica dust, so use appropriate dust control, such as a cutting dust shroud connected to a dust extractor, along with respiratory, eye, face, and hearing protection, and follow OSHA silica dust requirements. This wheel has a maximum operating speed of 15,300 RPM: always confirm the maximum RPM marked on the wheel is not exceeded by your grinder's rated speed, and confirm your grinder uses a 5/8 in. arbor. The wheels are consumable and sold as a 25-pack; the angle grinder is not included.
