The Milwaukee 49-59-0011 is a Retractable 1 in. Pilot Pin for use with Milwaukee annular cutter arbors on 1 in. depth annular cutters — the spring-loaded center pin that provides accurate hole centering during the initial engagement phase of annular cutter drilling in steel and metal fabrication work. The pilot pin inserts through the hollow center of the annular cutter and extends beyond the cutting teeth to contact the work surface at the precisely marked hole center — as the cutter begins cutting its ring-shaped kerf into the steel, the spring-loaded pilot pin retracts progressively into the cutter body under the resistance of the center slug, allowing the cutting teeth to advance through the full material depth while the pilot maintains centering contact throughout the cut.
