The Milwaukee 49-16-2573 is the TRAPSNAKE 25 ft. Auger with Cable Drive, a drain-cleaning auger built to reach and remove blockages in 1/2 in. to 2 in. drain lines. It is the most versatile auger in the TRAPSNAKE lineup, ideal for clearing clogs in sinks, bathtubs, and showers, and it carries a 1/4 in. by 25 ft. cable housed in an enclosed drum that contains the mess and protects the cable between jobs. The auger can take a bulb head or drop head cable end to match the drain and the clog. Its inline design makes it easy to maneuver at the drain opening, and the enclosed drum keeps debris and water contained while you work.
The Cable Drive system is the heart of this auger: it feeds the cable out and retracts it automatically, so you drive the cable down the line and pull it back without hand-feeding, and a Cable Lock holds the cable at the length you choose for maximum control while breaking up and pulling back a blockage. The auger can be run by hand with its crank arm, or powered for optimized speed and reach: it is part of the TRAPSNAKE Interchangeable Powered Auger System and is compatible with the M12 TRAPSNAKE Driver, part number 14-50-2576, which is sold separately. The driver connector presses into the auger's connection and locks in place, and the auger pulls apart from the driver by holding the auger by the nose, so one driver can power different augers in the system.
As part of the interchangeable system, the 25 ft. auger pairs with the same M12 TRAPSNAKE Driver used across the TRAPSNAKE augers for urinals, toilets, and sinks, so a plumber or maintenance pro can switch augers for the job at hand while keeping one powered driver. When the cable wears out or breaks, the replacement drop head cable for the 25 ft. auger, part number 48-53-2578, is available separately. This auger is sold on its own, and the M12 TRAPSNAKE Driver and M12 battery are purchased separately.
