Product Description
Milwaukee Flat Chisel 12 in. — 3/4 in. Hex Shank
Model Number: 48-62-3010
The Milwaukee 48-62-3010 is a 12 in. Flat Chisel with a 3/4 in. hex shank for use with professional electric chipping hammers equipped with a 3/4 in. hex tool holder — the standard full-length flat chisel for chipping, channeling, surface preparation, and light concrete demolition work where the broad flat blade distributes the chipping hammer's impact across the wider contact surface of the flat chisel profile. The flat chisel profile contrasts with the pointed bull point in its impact distribution — where the bull point concentrates all energy into a single small point for maximum fracture at a specific location, the flat chisel spreads impact across the blade width for more gradual, controlled material removal in chipping, channeling, and surface work applications. Common applications include cutting channels in concrete and masonry for conduit embedding, chipping off surface protrusions and high spots, removing form ties and surface irregularities, and the broad-surface demolition work where the flat blade's coverage is more efficient than point-by-point breaking.
Milwaukee drop-forges the flat chisel from high-grade steel with heat-treated working areas for the structural integrity and blade geometry retention needed through sustained chipping hammer impact loading at the standard 12 in. hex-shank length. The 3/4 in. hex shank provides positive anti-rotation locking in the chipping hammer's tool holder that prevents the chisel from spinning under the lateral surface contact forces of flat-chisel work. An 18 in. extended-length version (48-62-3015) is available for applications requiring additional blade reach.
See Milwaukee's complete 3/4 in. hex chisel lineup for all available profiles and lengths for every chipping hammer application.
