Product Description
Milwaukee Bull Point Chisel 18 in.
Model Number: 48-62-3005
The Milwaukee 48-62-3005 is an 18 in. Bull Point Chisel for use with Milwaukee and compatible demolition hammers and rotary hammers in hammer-only mode — the long-reach version of Milwaukee's bull point chisel for breaking, fracturing, and penetrating hard rock, reinforced concrete, asphalt, brick, block, and dense masonry in demanding demolition and excavation applications where the 18 in. working length provides the reach and leverage needed for deep material penetration and breaking work. The bull point profile concentrates the hammer's full impact energy at a single point contact, generating the maximum localized stress concentration needed to fracture hard, dense materials like granite, high-strength concrete, asphalt pavement, and dense brick where the broad face of a flat chisel would distribute the impact energy across too large an area to achieve the stress concentration required for fracture initiation. Milwaukee drop-forges the bull point from high-grade steel and applies a precision heat treatment to the working area that achieves the hardness and toughness specification needed to maintain the point geometry through sustained repetitive impact work on the hardest materials without premature tip blunting, deformation, or fracture.
The 18 in. length is the extended specification for applications requiring deeper penetration reach than standard-length bull points provide — breaking through thick asphalt and base material layers in pavement removal, fracturing deep rock in foundation and excavation work, and penetrating thick reinforced concrete sections where the standard length bull point cannot achieve adequate penetration depth for efficient material fracturing. The hex shank is the standard interface for professional electric chipping hammers and heavy demolition hammers, providing anti-rotation locking in the tool's chuck that prevents the chisel from spinning under the lateral forces generated during breaking work on irregular rock and concrete surfaces. Heat-treated work areas maintain the point's geometry and sharpness through the sustained repetitive impact loading of production demolition and breaking work.
Milwaukee also offers bull point chisels in standard lengths for typical-depth breaking applications, and a complete chisel lineup including flat chisels, scaling chisels, floor scrapers, and clay spades for every demolition and ground engagement application.
