Product Description
Milwaukee Bull Point Chisel 12 in.
Model Number: 48-62-3000
The Milwaukee 48-62-3000 is a 12 in. Bull Point Chisel for use with Milwaukee and compatible demolition hammers and rotary hammers in hammer-only mode — a standard-length heavy-duty concrete breaking, fracturing, and penetration chisel for demolition work in reinforced concrete, brick, block, asphalt, and hard rock applications where the bull point's concentrated single-point impact geometry delivers the stress concentration needed to fracture dense, hard materials. The bull point profile channels the demolition hammer's full impact energy to the smallest possible contact area at the tip point — the resulting high localized stress concentration at the contact point far exceeds the tensile strength of concrete, masonry, and rock at the point of contact, initiating fractures that propagate outward from the impact point and progressively break the material away from the structure being demolished. Drop-forged from high-grade steel with heat-treated working areas, the Milwaukee bull point maintains its pointed geometry and delivers consistent breaking performance through sustained repetitive high-energy impact work without premature tip blunting, deformation, or fracture failure.
The 12 in. length is the standard working length for most demolition and breaking applications — it provides the clearance between the hammer's chuck face and the work surface needed for good hammer positioning and stroke visibility during breaking operations without the excessive length of 18 in. extended chisel designs that can make the hammer and chisel combination awkward to control in typical-clearance demolition work. The hex or spline shank provides positive anti-rotation locking in the demolition hammer's tool holder, preventing the chisel from rotating in the chuck under the lateral forces generated during breaking work on irregular concrete and rock surfaces where the tip's contact point is not perpendicular to the hammer's driving axis. Milwaukee offers a complete demolition chisel lineup covering bull points in multiple lengths, flat chisels, scaling chisels, floor scrapers, and specialty tools for all breaking and preparation applications.
Also available in 18 in. extended length (48-62-3005) for deeper reach applications — see Milwaukee's complete demolition chisel lineup for all available profiles and sizes.
