The Milwaukee 48-22-2454 is a 3/8 in. SAE HollowCore Nut Driver, built around a hollow, thread-thru shaft that delivers unlimited depth on threaded rod and long bolt applications. On a standard solid nut driver, the length of the bolt or rod limits how far the driver can seat, but the HollowCore shaft is open all the way through, so a threaded rod or long bolt passes up into the hollow shaft as you drive the nut down, letting you run a nut to any depth regardless of how long the fastener is. That makes it ideal for the long threaded rod, all-thread, and extended bolt work common in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and strut and channel installation. It drives a 3/8 in. hex fastener and, like the rest of the HollowCore line, is built to remove rusted and stripped bolts where a worn nut driver would slip. Note that this is the standard HollowCore nut driver; Milwaukee also offers a magnetic version separately for jobs that need magnetic fastener retention.
