The Milwaukee 48-17-6014 is a 1-1/4 in.-7 threaded Core Bit Extension in 6 in. length — a precision-machined extension shaft that adds 6 in. of additional drilling depth to Milwaukee core bits threaded to the 1-1/4 in.-7 spindle standard for through-penetrations in wall and floor sections where the standard barrel depth of the core bit is insufficient for a full penetration from a single drill setup. The 1-1/4 in.-7 thread is the standard spindle mounting interface for Milwaukee and professional-grade core drill machines used with medium-to-large diameter core bits — this extension is compatible with Milwaukee core bits and core drill machines that use this spindle standard, enabling drilling through thicker structural elements by extending the total system barrel depth by 6 in. beyond the base core bit's barrel capacity.
Adding 6 in. of barrel depth extension to the core bit system enables through-penetrations in concrete slabs, masonry walls, and structural assemblies where the combined thickness falls within the range that the base barrel cannot complete from a single drill position but the barrel-plus-extension can reach in a single setup.
