Milwaukee Diamond Premium Wet Core Bits use only premium-grade diamonds in an engineered segment bond that delivers faster cutting speed and longer segment life than standard-grade diamond core bits in demanding concrete drilling conditions — the premium specification is formulated to maintain an optimal diamond exposure rate in the harder, more abrasive conditions of reinforced concrete and high-strength concrete where standard bits wear prematurely and slow progressively as segments glaze over. The 3 in. diameter serves a range of utility penetrations including 2-1/2 in. conduit sleeve installations, large plumbing drain and vent penetrations, HVAC refrigeration piping, and fire sprinkler branch line penetrations where the 3 in. bore diameter is specified for the conduit or pipe system's clearance requirements.
