The Milwaukee 48-17-2045 is a 4-1/2 in. Diamond Premium Wet Core Bit for large-diameter core drilling through cured and reinforced concrete in commercial and industrial construction applications. Milwaukee Diamond Premium Wet Core Bits use only premium-grade diamonds in an engineered segment bond that delivers faster cutting speed and longer segment life than standard-grade core bits in demanding concrete conditions — the premium segment specification maintains optimal diamond exposure as segments wear, resisting the glazing that causes standard bits to slow progressively in hard aggregate concrete. The 4-1/2 in. diameter serves large penetration applications including 4 in. conduit sleeve installations, large-diameter mechanical piping penetrations, HVAC ductwork sleeves, and structural access openings where the bore must accommodate the outer diameter of 4 in. conduit and fittings with appropriate clearance for installation and movement.
