The Milwaukee 45-16-0000 is a genuine OEM Depth Adjustment Kit for the 3026-20 M18 FUEL 10-1/4 in. Circular Saw. The depth adjustment is what sets how far the blade projects below the shoe, which is the depth of the cut: the operator releases the depth adjust lever, pivots the saw body to the desired depth against the shoe, and locks the lever to hold it. On the 3026-20 that range runs up to 3-13/16 in. at 90 degrees and 2-3/4 in. at 45 degrees, and this kit supplies the depth adjustment hardware that sets and clamps that depth. The lever and its hardware are worked on every depth change and must clamp firmly so the shoe does not shift under load, so worn, loose, or damaged depth adjustment parts let the depth creep, skip, or fail to lock, which shows up as inconsistent cut depth.
