The Milwaukee 42-96-0035 is a genuine OEM Chuck Sleeve for the 2412-20 M12 3/8 in. Hammer Drill/Driver. The chuck sleeve is the outer rotating grip ring of the keyless chuck: the operator grips and twists the sleeve to open and close the chuck jaws, holding or releasing a drill bit or driver bit without a chuck key. It is the part your hand contacts every time you change a bit, and the ratcheting action that locks the bit in runs through it.
