The Milwaukee 31-52-0275 is a genuine OEM Forward / Reverse Lever for the 2415-20 M12 3/8 in. Right Angle Drill/Driver. The forward/reverse lever is the shuttle control the operator pushes to set the drill's rotation direction: push it in from the right side of the tool for forward (clockwise) rotation, from the left side for reverse (counterclockwise), and leave it centered for the lock-out position that prevents accidental starts. Because it is actuated constantly and sits in the switch area, the lever can crack, wear, or stop shifting cleanly, at which point the drill may be stuck in one direction, fail to lock out, or not respond. Replacing it with the genuine Milwaukee OEM lever restores clean, positive direction changes and the center lock-out, where an off-spec lever may not shift the switch or seat correctly.
This forward/reverse lever is identified as the Forward / Reverse Lever, Figure 3, on the Milwaukee service parts list for the 2415-20 M12 3/8 in. Right Angle Drill, serial C23A, bulletin 54-06-2415.
