With a 2-5/8 in. cut capacity, the saw cuts through 3x material in a single pass. Paired with an M18 REDLITHIUM FORGE HD12.0 battery, it delivers up to 700 cuts per charge, giving true production runtime, and it is fully compatible with all M18 REDLITHIUM batteries. Built on the proven performance of the 2930-20, this saw keeps that best-in-class cutting and rear-handle control while adding a new generation of safety and jobsite-management features. The 2931-20 brings serious safety and control upgrades to the platform. AUTOSTOP Advanced Kickback Protection shuts the power off the instant a severe kickback event is detected, a meaningful safeguard on a powerful rear-handle saw, and REDLINK PLUS Intelligence protects the tool from overload, overheating, and over-discharge while maximizing performance. An electric blade brake stops the blade quickly after the trigger is released, an LED work light illuminates the cut line for accuracy, and an integrated multi-sized rafter hook lets you hang the saw securely between cuts. The all-magnesium shoe and guard keep the saw light while standing up to jobsite abuse, and bevel detents at 22.5 and 45 degrees plus depth detents at 1/2, 3/4, and 1-1/2 in. speed up repeatable setup.
The saw also adds Milwaukee's connected and dust-control features. VACLINK integrated wireless dust control lets the saw activate a compatible dust extractor directly, and a rotational dust port with an included vac adapter directs debris to collection, for cleaner, more silica-conscious cutting.
