The Milwaukee 28-41-0023 is a genuine OEM Lower Guard for the 2631-20 M18 Brushless 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw. The lower guard is the spring-loaded guard that retracts to expose the blade as the saw enters the cut and automatically swings back to cover the blade the instant the cut is finished. It is a critical safety component: Milwaukee's operating instructions direct the operator to check the lower guard for proper, brisk closing before each use and never to tie or pin it in the open position. A guard that is cracked, bent, or sluggish and does not return briskly to cover the blade is a safety hazard and must be replaced immediately.
