The Milwaukee 22-68-0020 is a genuine OEM Rubber Switch Cover for Milwaukee magnetic drills. It is the flexible rubber boot that fits over the tool's on-off switch, sealing and protecting the switch while still letting the operator press it to run the drill. Magnetic drills work in metalworking environments full of steel chips, swarf, cutting fluid, and fine dust, and the rubber cover keeps that debris out of the switch so it keeps actuating cleanly and reliably. A torn, hardened, or missing switch cover leaves the switch exposed to contamination, which can lead to a sticky, intermittent, or failed switch. Replacing it with the genuine Milwaukee OEM cover restores the correct fit and seal over the switch, where an off-spec cover may not seal properly or may interfere with switch action.
This switch cover is identified as the Rubber Switch Cover, Figure 161, on the Milwaukee service parts lists for the M18 FUEL 1-1/2 in. magnetic drills, the 2787-20 and 2788-20, bulletins 54-46-0410, 54-46-0411, and 54-46-0421, and as the Switch Cover, Figure 138, on the 4274-20 corded magnetic drill.
