Milwaukee Motor Assembly
Model Number: 14-50-2640
The Milwaukee 14-50-2640 is a genuine OEM Motor Assembly for the 2640-20 M18 Cordless Caulk and Adhesive Gun. The motor assembly is the drive motor that powers the gun's dispensing mechanism, turning the drive train that advances the plunger rod to push caulk or adhesive out of the cartridge. It is supplied as a complete motor assembly with its integrated sensor and lead wires, and the motor is polarity-specific, with its positive terminal marked by a red dot for correct wiring during installation. On a cordless caulk and adhesive gun, the motor works hard against the resistance of thick material being forced through a nozzle, so a motor that has failed, lost power, or burned out leaves the gun unable to dispense and requires replacement to restore drive.
Replacing a failed motor with the correct genuine Milwaukee motor assembly restores proper dispensing force and control. This same motor assembly is used across the M18 caulk and adhesive gun family, fitting the 2640-20 bare tool as well as the kitted 2641-20, 2641-21CT, 2642-21CT, and 2643-21CT versions that are built around the 2640-20 with different cartridge carriage systems. It is identified as Figure 53 on Milwaukee service bulletin 54-06-2640. When installing the motor, take note of the wire routing and the position of the wires in their guides and traps, and observe the red-dot terminal orientation so the motor is wired correctly. Because Milwaukee specifies service parts by serial number as well as catalog number, verify your catalog and serial number against the official Milwaukee service parts diagram before ordering, since running production changes can alter part compatibility within the same catalog number.
