The Milwaukee 14-46-2867 is a genuine OEM Tether Ring Kit for the 2868-20 M18 FUEL 1 in. D-Handle High Torque Impact Wrench. The tether ring kit provides the tool-side tie-off point that a tool lanyard clips to, so the tool can be secured against falling when it is used at height. On a heavy, high torque impact wrench, a dropped tool is a serious hazard to people and equipment below, so a secure tether point is an important part of a dropped-object prevention program. The ring installs onto the front of the tool and is retained by the kit's holder hardware, giving a dedicated attachment point that does not interfere with normal use of the tool. Because it is supplied as a complete kit, the tether ring and its retention hardware are factory-matched for correct fit and secure retention on the tool.
A tether ring that is lost, bent, or no longer holds securely should be replaced to restore a safe, dependable tie-off point before the tool is tethered and used at height again.
