The Stiletto TRMB-RMA Mallet Cap Kit converts the TRIMBONE hammer (TRMB) into a non-marring mallet, eliminating the need to carry a separate mallet on the job site. The kit includes two cap options — a white hard mallet cap and a black soft mallet cap — that slip over the TRIMBONE's striking face for applications requiring a light, controlled touch without damaging or marking the workpiece surface. The quick-removal design allows users to switch between hammer and mallet mode in seconds, adding versatility to the TRIMBONE without adding extra tools to the bag. Common applications include tapping cabinet components into place, seating trim and molding, driving wooden wedges, and any finish task where a steel face would mar the material.
The hard white cap delivers more driving force for firm-contact applications, while the soft black cap provides the gentlest touch for delicate surfaces and finished materials. Both caps are non-marring, protecting wood, laminate, and finished surfaces from damage during mallet strikes. Note that the TRMB-RMA fits the TRIMBONE (TRMB) only — mallet caps are hammer-specific and are not interchangeable with other Stiletto models.
