Type 27 Cut-Off Wheel — the Type 27 depressed-center version of Milwaukee's standard .045 in. ultra-thin cut-off wheel for use with 4-1/2 in. angle grinders in applications where the depressed-center wheel profile is specified or preferred over the standard Type 1 flat wheel format. While the standard 49-94-4500 uses the Type 1 flat wheel profile for straightforward 90° cut-off operations, the Type 27 depressed-center profile on this version positions the abrasive cutting face below the mounting hub — providing clearance between the grinder's guard and the work surface that can be advantageous in certain cutting positions and with specific grinder guard configurations. Both versions provide the same .045 in. ultra-thin kerf for minimum material waste and fastest cutting speed through the reduced cutting resistance of the narrow abrasive section.
