The Milwaukee 49-80-0292 is a Hook Nozzle for use with Milwaukee electric heat guns — a specialty curved nozzle attachment that directs the heat gun's hot air stream in a U-shaped or hook configuration, allowing heated air to be directed back toward the tool or around a 180° bend to reach surfaces and applications that require the hot air to arrive from behind or below an object rather than from the front. The hook configuration is particularly useful for activating heat shrink tubing on wire assemblies by sweeping the heated air along the tube's full length in a single continuous stroke without stopping to reposition the tool, warming pipe and conduit that runs perpendicular to the accessible approach direction in wall cavities and framing bays, and applying heat to surfaces inside enclosures and boxes where the straight barrel cannot be positioned to direct airflow into the interior from an external position.
