The Milwaukee 48-66-0325 is a genuine OEM 1/4 in. Collet replacement part for the Milwaukee M18 Cut-Out Tool (2627-20). The collet is the precision clamping sleeve that fits inside the spindle and grips the shank of the cutting bit, securing it firmly for accurate, vibration-free operation. The 48-66-0325 is sized for standard 1/4 in. shank cutting bits — the larger of the two collet sizes available for the 2627-20 tool. A worn, damaged, or incorrectly sized collet results in bit slippage, poor cut accuracy, or an inability to securely hold the bit during operation.
Used in conjunction with the collet nut (48-68-0060), the collet clamps tightly around the bit shank when the nut is tightened, providing a secure hold throughout the cutting operation. Replacing the collet with a genuine Milwaukee OEM part ensures the correct 1/4 in. bore diameter, proper sleeve taper, and precise fit within the 2627-20 spindle. Non-OEM collets may not maintain the correct tolerances, leading to bit movement, runout, or premature wear on the spindle and collet nut. Milwaukee also offers a 1/8 in. collet (48-66-0320) for use with smaller shank cutting bits.
