Scaling Chisel with a hex shank for use with professional electric chipping hammers equipped with a hex tool holder — a scaling chisel for weld spatter removal, mill scale removal, rust removal, and surface preparation on steel and ferrous metal in the narrower 1-1/2 in. format for more precise scaling work in tighter areas. The 1-1/2 in. blade width works between stiffeners, along weld toes in tight assemblies, within box sections and structural profiles, and in the confined positions where the wider 2 in. scaling chisel cannot contact the surface properly. Drop-forged from high-grade steel with heat-treated working areas, this scaling chisel maintains blade geometry and effectiveness through sustained chipping hammer impact loading in fabrication shop, structural steel maintenance, and industrial equipment service environments.
The hex shank provides positive anti-rotation locking in the chipping hammer's hex tool holder that prevents the chisel from spinning under the broad lateral surface contact forces of scaling work.
