Product Description
Milwaukee SDS Max Bull Point Chisel 18 in.
Model Number: 48-62-4077
The Milwaukee 48-62-4077 is an 18 in. SDS Max Bull Point Chisel — an extended-length pointed chisel for Milwaukee SDS Max demolition and rotary hammers in hammer-only mode for heavy concrete breaking, deep masonry chasing, and the most demanding directed-point breaking applications where the 18 in. length provides working depth beyond the standard 12 in. configuration. The bull point concentrates all of the SDS Max hammer's high impact energy through the small contact area of the pointed tip, generating extreme localized stress needed to fracture dense commercial concrete and the hardest masonry sections that require SDS Max energy for productive breaking. The 18 in. extended length is the right configuration for overhead work where the extra length keeps the hammer body further from the ceiling surface for better clearance and less awkward positioning, for deep channeling in thick concrete walls where the 12 in. configuration cannot reach the full channel depth from a single hammer position, and for applications where the hammer must be held back from the work surface.
Milwaukee drop-forges the 18 in. SDS Max bull point from high-grade steel specifically engineered for the higher energy levels of SDS Max impact delivery — the same steel and geometry used in SDS+ platform chisels would deform or fracture under sustained SDS Max operation. The SDS Max shank provides the positive anti-rotation locking and high-energy impact coupling that extended-length concrete demolition demands. At 18 in., the additional length adds moderate leverage that slightly amplifies the chisel tip's directed force at the work surface compared to the compact 12 in. version when working at the same hammer position.
See Milwaukee's complete SDS Max chisel lineup for all available profiles and for the 12 in. standard-length bull point (48-62-4075) for open-access applications.
