The cup shape concentrates the wire mass in a circular pattern around the center hub, creating a brush contact geometry that efficiently covers three-dimensional surface features, outside corners, pipe and tube surfaces, weld joints, and irregular metal profiles where a flat wire wheel's single-plane contact would leave incompletely cleaned areas requiring additional passes from different angles.
